Kal Ratcliffe BSc mBANT CNHC
A registered Nutritional Therapist who specialises in gut health
Kal qualified with a distinction in Nutritional Therapy from the University of West London, where she developed theoretical and practical knowledge underpinned by biochemical sciences and the functional medicine approach. This enables her to identify biochemical imbalances that can contribute to the development of many modern-day diseases and address them through dietary and lifestyle interventions with her clients in clinical practice.
Recognising that every person is unique and has individual dietary needs, Kal works with clients to understand their specific health concerns and then uses an extensive evidence base of nutritional science to educate, motivate and support her clients and create safe, effective and personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes.
Kal is a member of the British Association of Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA), the regulatory body that oversees standards of practice in all areas of health and social care occupations in the UK.
Kal also continues to update her clinical knowledge and skills through continuing professional development via regular seminars, webinars and training courses so that she can support her clients with the most up-to-date scientific evidence.
Kal lives with her husband and son in Bedfordshire, where she runs a busy virtual practice and consults with clients via video calls.
